The Assignment
Headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) serves the North American power systems, rail transportation, and large visual display markets with electrical and electronic products, systems and services. MEPPI wanted to develop an animated video for a new product call the Power Quality Compensator.
The Approach
Hyperion Studios worked with MEPPI’s marketing staff to create an animated video that highlights how various facilities can effect the electric energy that flows through a power grid . We developed 2D animation as well as 3D animation that we created from supplied CAD files. The video helped potential customers understand the many benefits a PQC unit would deliver by leveling out energy spikes and variations within a power grid.
